About BIL
State Street SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF is an exchange-traded fund that provides exposure to short-term U.S. Treasury bills with remaining maturities between one and three months. The fund is designed to track the Bloomberg 1-3 Month U.S. Treasury Bill Index, using a passive approach centered on highly liquid government securities. Its portfolio is composed primarily of zero-coupon Treasury bills, which are issued by the U.S. government and sit at the short end of the fixed-income market. The ETF is used by investors seeking a cash-management tool and a conservative fixed-income allocation within broader portfolios.
