About Informed Portfolio
Informed Portfolio is a set of portfolio research tools for investors who want to understand a portfolio before they put money behind it: test it against real market history, see how it behaved through crashes like 2008, and look at a range of possible futures instead of a single forecast. 17 of its 19 analysis tools are free to run, with no account needed.
Educational, and honest by design
Everything here is educational research, never investment advice. Findings describe what a portfolio did or could do; they never tell you to buy, sell, or hold anything, and they never promise a return. Backtests and simulations are hypothetical, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
Results state the assumptions behind them, and costs and biases are flagged where they matter. The methodology explains how every number is calculated, in plain language first, with its limitations and a dated change log.
Where the data comes from
Market data is provided by Twelve Data; Treasury and inflation data come from FRED. Data from third parties can contain errors, gaps, or delays, and the disclaimer says what that means for the results.
Who runs it
Informed Portfolio is built and run by its founder, Alireza Khanizadeh, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It does not provide investment advice or brokerage services, and it is not affiliated with any other portfolio analysis platform.
How it makes money
- Paid plans. Pro, Advisor and Business add more room to save portfolios and analyses, portfolio monitoring, clean reports, and higher AI Insights limits. Running the free tools stays free. See pricing.
