About AMLP
Alerian MLP ETF is an exchange-traded fund that provides concentrated exposure to U.S. energy infrastructure master limited partnerships. The fund seeks to track the Alerian MLP Infrastructure Index, a portfolio of publicly traded MLPs that generate most of their cash flow from midstream activities such as transporting, storing, and processing energy commodities. Its holdings are centered on pipeline, storage, logistics, and related energy service businesses, giving investors access to a specialized segment of the energy market through a single vehicle. Alerian MLP ETF is commonly used as a sector-focused allocation for market participants seeking diversified exposure to the operational backbone of North American energy infrastructure. The ETF is issued by ALPS and is designed to reflect the performance of its underlying index through a rules-based, passively managed structure.
